The snow sculpture “Canyon City Urban Cave” marries the natural elegance of Hong Kong’s sea caves with the dramatic heights of its urban canyons. This intricate installation features delicately carved snow formations resembling the natural curves of cave entrances, inviting exploration and discovery.
Students carved various geological textures onto the installation, refracting light to simulate the glittering urban skyline, highlighting the connection between city dwellers and hikers. Visitors can wander through narrow passageways that emulate the experience of navigating between skyscrapers and cliff edges, each turn revealing new vistas and emotions of solitude and togetherness. “Canyon City Urban Cave” reminds us of the serenity and enlightenment found in the convergence of nature and urban life. It celebrates the journey through caves and canyons, capturing the beauty of light—both natural and artificial—on the human experience.
《峽城洞境》
雪雕作品《峽城洞境》（Canyon City Urban Cave）融合了香港海蝕洞穴的自然之美與城市峽谷般高聳密集的都市景觀。裝置以精細雕刻的雪體構成，靈感來自洞穴入口的曲線形態與侵蝕紋理，邀請觀者進入一個充滿探索、反思與發現的空間。
學生們在雪雕表面刻畫出不同的地質肌理，使光線在其間折射與閃耀，如同香港夜晚璀璨的城市天際線，連結了城市居民與山野行者的感知經驗。觀者穿行於狹窄的通道之間，既如穿越高樓林立的城市縫隙，也如行走於海岸峭壁與洞穴邊緣；每一次轉折，都展現出新的景觀與介於孤獨和集體之間的情感氛圍。
《峽城洞境》反思自然與城市生活交匯之中的寧靜與啟悟，並讚頌穿越洞穴與峽谷的旅程，捕捉自然光與人工光如何共同塑造人的空間感知與情感經驗。
